Our wedding ceremony at Gígjökull in Þórsmörk was an unforgettable experience – and we owe this in large part to Erla. From the very first contact she was there to help and advise us. She was always available, guided us through the official application process and answered every question clear and friendly. She picked us up on the day of the wedding and gave us a great first impression of Iceland.
We were particularly impressed that Erla found the perfect location for our wedding. Gígjökull was a dream setting – a perfect mix of adventure, breathtaking nature and intimate atmosphere. It was as if she had sensed exactly what would suit us. Erla created the ceremony itself with so much warmth, empathy and a personal touch that we felt completely at ease and at home from the very first moment. This special day was emotionally unique. A truly memorable moment was the handfasting ritual, along with the Viking toast „skál!“ in the ram’s horn. Her warmth, intuition and professionalism made our wedding one of the most beautiful moments of our lives. We are deeply grateful to her and can recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you Erla

Erla is truly and so very talented. With her support, Erla helped us turn our dream of marrying in Icelandic nature into reality.
Already early on in our planning, Erla helped us navigate the administrative part of marrying in Iceland, shared great photographer, florist and bakery recommendations, and was readily available whenever we had questions as our big day neared. Erla also showed genuine interest in us and our love story, and when we felt stuck or stressed (as one does before marriage), Erla’s positivity and reassurance made all the difference!
Fast forward to our wedding day, Erla took us and our closest family members on a once-in-a-lifetime wedding and outback day trip to ancient glaciers, the famous black sand beach and of course to marry under a glorious waterfall, Kvernufoss. Erla gracefully coordinated our ceremony and her beautiful speech made us laugh outloud and tear up–it was so moving and very personal to us. We and our families absolutely loved the day with Erla, and everyone is still raving about how fun and unforgettable it was.
We are forever grateful for the time, effort and care Erla put into our wedding. We could not have asked for a more perfect person to guide us to our “waterfall alter” and recommend Erla wholeheartedly to anyone looking for something beyond magical

On a blustery day in April on a black sand beach in Iceland, Perla helped us literally tie the knot in a way that only she could. Strong winds, a magical peek of sun at just the right time, and even trolls expressing happiness in the form of a volcanic eruption on the other side of the country… Perla brought her warmth, her kindness, and her wildness of spirit to the beach that day and conducted the magic around us. From the excitement of the initial conversations to helping us through the hurdles of making our marriage legal in Iceland and the US, Perla was a joy to work with. Having Perla as our wedding celebrant was best choice we could have. We were seeking for very simple and unique ceremony in which also our little son (2years) took part. She did it for us exactly as we wish. She has prepared unique ceremony, on beautiful place and she was vary patient and friendly to our son. I don´t know if she has a magical power as during our Day the weather was perfect (not usual in Iceland) and even eruption occurred. She was very helpful with paper work stuff even if it wasn´t too easy as we were first couple from the Czech Republic for her. I also appreciated her recommendation of photographer Gunnar as he was excellent choice for our needs. Perla is the best option for those who are seeking for unique, special but also minimalistic ceremony in the beautiful landscape of Iceland.

Lydie and I initially planned to elope in Iceland and had already booked a photographer when we discovered Perla online. Looking back, I’m so thankful we found her – we honestly can’t imagine our special day without her.
Before we arrived in Iceland, we had an online meeting with Perla where she took the time to get to know us and understand our personalities, as well as what we envisioned for our ceremony. A few weeks before the elopement, she sent us some fun questions via email, and from those answers, she crafted the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremony speech we could have ever hoped for.
Perla spoke so intimately about our relationship – from our journey together to our dreams, our kids, and everything in between. Her words were funny, touching, and absolutely perfect. She also beautifully wove in the strength and magic of Iceland, reminding us that we can weather anything life brings our way.

We had an amazing experience with Perla as our guide and officiant. She secured the site for our intimate and cozy ceremony in a small church on the grounds of the Air Museum. Perla performed the perfect ceremony for Kathy and I after we decided to remarry after a short separation. We had my daughter Stephanie and my grandson Torin on hand to witness and celebrate the event. Kathy and I both loved Perla’s easy manner and humanistic approach to our ceremony. We did a hand fasting ceremony with a traditional horn toast that we found meaningful and close to our hearts. And though the weather had a mind of its own (Iceland!), we couldn’t have been more grateful to Perla for making it our own. She really did an excellent job!
